Fueling the trades

Hey guys, my name is Christopher Mercer, a unionized journeyman pipe-fitter. I know the long hours, the weather, the wear. Finding time to cook after a tough day is tough. I started Fit For Duty to make life easier for the crew, prepackaged, home-cooked, bundled to-go meals that are hearty, healthy, and ready to roll. I personally cook every meal with the same pride I bring to the job site, because I know the kind of fuel we need to keep building the world. You will find me working beside you, eating the same meals I make, focused on food that is consistent, nutritious, and satisfying for a long day of twisting wrenches, pulling wire, and striking arcs.

Fit For Duty is a fully licensed and registered catering business set to launch in early 2026. The kitchen is regularly inspected, professionally sanitized multiple times a week, and follows Ontario health and safety standards for cooking, preparing, cooling, packaging, and storing food. I hold a valid Food Handler Certificate, and I source ingredients fresh each week from Costco Wholesale. This is real food, cooked with care, for real people who work hard and deserve something made from home.
